In 2013, EBAN celebrated the first European Business Angels Week, the world’s largest business angels awareness series of events, concentrating 140 events in 34 countries all across Europe. With a 5,1 billion Euros investment record, BAW was then the reflection of an active and growing business angels community.

EBAN’s initiative was recognised and supported by Neelie Kroes, European Commissioner for Digital Agenda, Daniel Callejja, Director General DG Enterprise & Industry and Dusan Stojanovic, Business Angel of the Year 2013. José Manuel Barroso, President of the European Commission, saluted EBAW on behalf of the European Commission as an initiative for a more innovative and sustainable Europe, impacting growth strategy and jobs creation on a European-wide level.

In 2014, BAW broke its previous year’s record and featured 244 events in 55 countries in cooperation with MBAN (Middle-East Business Angels Network) and ABAN (African Business Angels Network). The focus of the 2014 edition was put on celebrating and creating Success Stories and inspiring cross border and cross continent Business Angel Investment and Exits.

In the following years, EBAN took up the challenge again and broke once more its previous record with a total of 260 events focused on angel investment in 2015 and 350 in 2016!

How can you take part in the BAW? Associate your local event with the BAW!
Setup your own event and we will publish it on BAW’s website. You are also welcome to add BAW’s logo adapted to your city and onto your event website. Identify your initiatives and organisation with the BAW and contribute to its visibility.

Your organisation is not directly related to angel investment? Perfect!
We want to reach a wide and diverse audience. All you have to do is to dedicate a panel of your event to this topic and we will help you getting the right participants to speak out about the role of angel investors and how they relate to the sector you operate in.

The week of 13-19 November doesn’t suit you? No problem!
We welcome events from beginning of October to end of December.
