All entrepreneurs, technologists, inventors, investors and futurists are invited to attend the launch of Singularity University´s “Call to Innovation” Competition Spain 2014! The launch event will be held on Tuesday, 14 January from 16:00-18:00h at the Barcelona Activa Auditorium. The “Call to Innovation” Competition is an entrepreneurial challenge to see who can come up with the most creative solutions to some of Spain´s greatest challenges using advanced technology solutions. You must simply answer one question: How would you solve one of Spain´s greatest challenges (unemployment, education, energy dependence, increasing elderly population, etc.) using technology? The two winners will receive a scholarship to attend Singularity University´s Graduate Studies Program held in the summer of 2014.

The Call to Innovation competition is intended to educate and inspire entrepreneurs and encourage action. The keynote speaker of the event this year will be Salim Ismail, Global Ambassador and Founding Managing Director of Singularity University (see biography at: In addition to being a former Vice President at Yahoo and serial entrepreneur, Salim is an outstanding and motivating speaker. He also sits on the board of a global human rights advocacy group and a number of startups.

In Spain, Singularity University will award two scholarships to the winners of the “Call to Innovation” Competition, sponsored by the Fundación de Rafael Pino and Grupo Consetino.
